We as qualified Social workers, need to earn proper salary. Our start up salary its like a joke to other professionals! Most social workers neither do they qualify to buy reasonable house nor they own RDP houses. Furthermore, they are renting and they dont own any property!

Great work colleagues! Social Work continues to be an undermined profession whereas it is an important profession that a country can not function without. Please also highlight the need to acknowledge when a social worker studies further, the should be salary increment when a social worker obtains her/his Masters. A social worker with a degree can not be earning a same salary with a social worker who has a Masters degree. Thanks

Because social workers play such an important role in our communities, goverment needs to acknowledge that. And pay Social workers whats due to them.

The future of this country is dependent upon social workers, thus the country cannot afford to lose valuable skills provided by social workers. The issues of the profession needs constant reviewing.

To say social worker's salaries must be increased, other allied professionals entry level is 8 and they have rural allowance.

Because I support the content of the petition and im affected by the things they have mentioned. With my 12yrs experience my take home salary is only 14700. I'm so demotivated I'm thinking of taking the Holland offer.

Why did you sign this petition? it is because I am a
part of suffering unemployed social worker and due to the fact that I don't have a driver's license. I can't get employed as the last point says the department and varsities should have contracts with driving schools so that all students should have an opportunity before time.

Salaries of social workers are PATHETIC. No breadwinner can sustain a family on the small salary of a social worker.
