Great location and setting!
Awesome food and vibe!
They need a liquor license to be able to offer complete dining experience

I have spent many very happy hours at The Rock Music Bistro in Umzumbe - it is always one of the highlights of my regular trips to South Africa and the south coast. The music is fantastic and the atmosphere is simply amazing. Please don't close it down.

We Musicians are battling to find venues as it is. We rely on venues such as The Rock to provide the platform on which we build our hopes and dreams to earn a decent living out of our passion, music.

The Rock is a long established asset to the KwaZulu music scene and should not be forced to close.

I have enjoyed many hours of good music & friendship at The Rock when in the area. Want to keep enjoying the music. South Coast also needs the business.

THE ROCK IS A VITAL ASSET TO THE NATAL SOUTH COAST AND A SHOWCASE FOR LOCAL NEW TALENT. TO CLOSE IT WOULD HAVE MAJOR REPERCUSSIONS FOR MANY MUSIC-LOVERS. THERE IS NO BETTER PLACE TO BE ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON, RELAXING IN THE GARDEN WITH A MEAL AND A DRINK AND LISTENING TO SOME AMAZING MUSICAL TALENT. PLEASE DON'T CLOSE THE ROCK!!!

why is it that authorities that are supposed to be the facilitators and "servants" of creating wealth and jobs for South African's can not even provide clear reasons for the withholding of the licence? It is symptomatic of how the entire culture of civil servants needs to be addressed and South Africans need to start working together to remove the current government and the corrupt culture is has promoted in all aspects of civil life in this country. I hope the right thign happens and that the venue can re-open or at the very least a comprehensive reasoning on the denial of the license is forthcoming so that this can be investigated.

This is absolutely devastating news, not only for the local KZN Music industry but for artists around the country! The Rock Music Bistro is one of the few Live Music Venues in KZN who respect that musicians too need to feed their families! ISSUE THE DAMN LIQUOR LICENSE ALREADY!!! .... and let the SHOW GO ON!!!!

If everything has been competed properly then at least they must be told on what grounds the liquor license is being withheld. It is a wonderful, family oriented place for relaxing and supports local musicians.

One because the powers that be are causing unemployment in these critical times and two the South Coast needs entrepeneurs
to boost more visitors and revenue

The Rock is a landmark which allows all musical cultures to get together to praise this beautiful country we live in through song.
