Hope this petition helps, I am doubtful in this city this will get addressed... But here's hoping. Paid parking is the best approach as parks in this area will only attract more vagrants. Cape town would have this fixed already.

I am not convinced that turning the area into a park will change the situation, or in fact make it worse.

This area lends itself well to a civilized and stylistic development which may include a combination of parking, retail space and business; such as the one in 4th avenue built by Bakos Brothers. Tasteful and vastly enhancing our area.

Space like this is at a premium and certainly getting wasted at present.

No more high density occupancy on areas where the infrastructure is already poor, not up to date with other recent developments! Rather renovate buildings in disrepair on other parts of the town, and create good public transport.

We want all businesses in Parkhurst to be able to stay in business and grow. Parking fees are turning people away and adversely affecting those shops. Parkhurst residents should not have to pay to park in their own suburb!

This area is too congested already, enough restaurants, not enough parking, too many car accidents and over developed already.

This area really needs work.
A while back there was a dead body found there which had gone unoticed because it was deemed to be a vagrant sleeping. Maybe it was the smell that alerted a passe by? Simply unacceptable!

Area definitely needs clean, safe, easy access parking. Would be a disaster if that site were to be developed and thus adding to the congestion. You have my full support. Good luck with finding the right balance between parking and transforming!

The residents have a right to maintain their way of life in the suburban area they chose for its qualities, and in the houses they work very hard to buy & upkeep. The peoples voices must be heard over money.
