Just hope the government will finally accept that most of the foreign aid isgoing to absurd schemes. People who have been flooded neef help and there should be no more building on flood plainsUNLESS houses are built on stilts or ground floor is for storage / garage. Appreciate the chance to sign your petition.

In short, it absolutely stinks that we give much needed money at home and give it to the likes of the Indian's and Chinese.

So much money is needed to help the people who have been flooded and for ed to leave their homes that the amount of money given away in foreign aid is ridiculous when so much is needed at home, also we need to be putting flood defences in immediately to save this happening again. Charity begins at home.Yy

Its great that the Daily Mail has taken up the fight of the flood victims. Since December people in this Country have been victims of flooding and nothing has been done. The December flooding was just the first and now half the countries flooded. It seemed strange that it took the Thames to flood before the disaster word was mentioned about five weeks after the worst floods in modern histroy occured. This govenment loves spending money on lost causes they seem to forget that people matter thier voters, i wonder how many  of the flood victims will give there politicians the vote. All the over seas aide should be stopped until all and i mean all the floood victims and sea defences have been have been put right.

I live in a flat on the first floor and i even feel there suffering the people in charge just do not under stand the suffering these brave people are going through or action would have been taken earlier.

Charity begins at home not to other countries at a time like this with all the floods.
These poor people how will they cope.

Why should UK taxpayers pay for any aid to countries such as China. If we cut the £27.4 million which we send to them we could not only help flood victims but also older people who cannot get the drugs or treatment they need from the NHS.

We are always quick as a nation to rightly help others in times of need. This has to be one of those rare times when charity and help begins at home

If this had happened in a far east country we would have been bomb barded with TV adverts to send money to a relief fund

Ministers and MPs except for the ones in the affected constituencies are eithernot bothered or would rather the floods went away. To Cameron this is just a bloody nuisance. What do the bulk of the countries we give aid to ever do for us? Giving money to China India and most of all Argentina whose residents - or at least the hierarchy there brainwashes the residents into hating us.We are a soft touch to EVERYBODY apart from ourselves!!!

STOP MPs Second Home favours.  STOP all claims like "paper clips" on expenses.  STOP giving so much of taxpayers money to charities abroad - some but cut back on the multi millions.   MORE MONEY TO OUR VICTIMS OF THE FLOODS.  CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME.

I am very pleased that someone is recognising the needs our own people have .its`about time this government look to their own country and give us priority over the senseless and stupid things they waste on other countries .our needs are greater than theirs .and we should always come first if they want to send money . let them do it out of their own pockets .they may not be so keen then!.

Just hope it has the desired effect. It's all well and good helping the needy in other countries but there are times when help is very much needed in Britain, and this is definitely one of those times.
