When historically have we had such inept politicians since Tony Blair & Gordon Brown? It is a national disgrace that £11billion of taxpayers money is being sent to countries that either don't need it or use it for the purpose for which it was not intended.

The Prime Minister is out of touch with the electorate on so many issues that his assessment of people and situations will lose his party the next election

For crying out loud DO SOMETHING for these poor people and animals. Instead of bolstering share holders invest in the environment and NOT exploit it!

Given the current weather situation all foreign aid should be withheld & directed to flood relief, also serious thought if our current government are capable be given to whether all aid should be re-instated at the end of the current situation

It's about time we looked to give aid to ourselves and not waste it on foreign aid which doesn't get to the people that it was intended for. Help ourselves before others.

Not only is money needed now but also in the future. No more building on flood plains. Help the farmers with drainage systems.

I hope many people put their name to this petition - while there are so many people in THIS country in crisis the government should be caring for the voters who trusted them with their vote. The whole issues of foreign aid needs to be reviewed as harshly as the spending on those in dire need within the United Kingdom.

I disagree with the Governments stance on foreign aid in the first place. Charity should always begin at home. Why should we donate monies to India, China and the like - billions of which goes into wrong/corrupt hands.

Giving aid to the likes of china and india is crazy -our useless out of touch corrupt politicians do not realise the seething anger of the citizens of this country. We need a complete change including getting out of Europe

Charity begins at home - totally out of order sending millions abroad when help needed here.
There are poor people in the UK who need help

Even before the dreadful flooding in this Country the amount of tax payers money wasted on Overseas Aid was scandalous. As with so many things our politicians seem to live on a different planet!

Ibelieve in aid to other countries but we must deal with our own disasters first

LET'S STOP GIVING AWAY BILLIONS OF POUNDS THAT WE DO NOT HAVE - WE HAVE TO BORROW IT.
THIS IS SHEER MADNESS WHEN ENGLAND NEEDS IT FOR FLOOD DEFENCE & CLEAR UP.
WE CAN STILL GIVE MONEY (SAY2 BILLOION £)TO DISASTERS AS THEY HAPPEN + USE UK BASED PROVIDERS OF SERVICES.

This cause is just, and common sense under the circustances. The fact that the politicians have to be told so is farcical!

We think that all monies that are going to countries like China, India and Pakistan ahould be diverted to our own people in England only.

All the talk about who is responsible doesn't achieve anything we need to act now to help these people whose houses have been flooded.

Should be "all" not some of the overseas aid.

We need to look after our own in order to continue to help others - have those "in charge" never hear of killing the goose that lays the golden egg? Or just plain common sense would do!!

Ignore this and hindsight will surely reveal the government to be unfit for purpose. Please don't let apathy drown our beautiful country.

we can only hope the gov heeds this petition and drastically scales back the bloated, often wasted foreign aid budget.CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME, spend it on the people whose taxes fund it.
