Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (Amcu) Petition

I am asking for your help and your signature on my petition. The striking Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (Amcu) is being irresponsible towards its members and the country. They need to stop this madness !!! People are hungry, children are not going to school, businesses are closing and crime in the platinum belt is increasing

Workers want to go to work. They want to pay their debts and provide for their families , workers have also said they want the strike to end and workers are living in fear of losing their jobs, it gets hard physically and emotionally

“Some members want to leave Amcu to join other unions because they are tired of the strike. If the companies move, we are prepared to take R8 000 a month for now. That is the mandate we have given our leaders," an Amcu member with Implats said on Wednesday . “The offer is good; the problem is we want to go back to work but we are afraid to get killed,” a worker wrote but instead AMCU President Joseph Mathunjwa says “We're striking until we get what we want, We want to intensify the strike”

Let’s all not be surprised when the strike ends and there is one of the highest retrenchment rates in the mining industry we have ever seen in SA. Like a wise man once said, "unions never create jobs but are very good at destroying jobs"

It is now time for the government to step in !!!This is not just a dispute of a wage increase .... it is the downfall of a country!

The mineworkers really don't understand what impact this is creating on the whole of South Africa.

There are other ways to negotiate salary and other discomforting issues in the workplace other than by striking. Striking not only denies an income to the mine/s but also the income of other individuals around them. It weakens the economy and ultimately destroys it. Striking should be reserved as a last resort

AMCU is South Africa's and its people worse enemy. You should see them as the terrorists they really are. They do not, yet, attack with bombs but they know by attacking SA's economy they can upset the whole country togoether with its leadership - in goverment and in private entrepise. Stand up against them, treat as the terrorist they really are. For you workers out there that are promised impossible wages, they are misusing you to achiev their goals of bringing down our goverment and society. Under them you will be much worse off - YOU WILL HAVE NO JOBS and will have to do whatever they say or want you to do with very little or even none payment. Get rid of them NOW. It is only you, our mineworkers that can, like in the past, kick these vultures in their butt and bring security back to our country, economy and our society. Your fasmily, friends and employers depend on you. Yes your employers, the mining industry. Just look what they have done for especialy black people in South Africa. They are not just the backbone of our economy but also the driving force in uplifting black management in the country. Show your appreciation for their efforts by stamping AMCU down, down ,down and DOWN

The strike has gone on for to long now. At some point it will become completely unprofitable for international companies to invest in South Africa.

NET 5 MENSE ASB!

This is not a joke! Let us call out a day of prayer and call upon God to stop the forces behind this whole dilemma to have mercy on the people who do not deserve this.

Toe ek 'n kind was is 'n biddag vir reen uitgeroep wanneer die aarde droog was.
