We dont know why he attacked the zoo keeper, he is a wild animal and if the gates were not closed properly then he was doing his job and protecting his home.

don't get into the same place as the tiger - he's a wild animal

Because this is a wild animal and euthanising then will achieve nothing.

Because it is a wild animal so I think maybe she should have taken more care around the animal

Because this is an very endangered Animal , it woud have Re acted the same in the wild. Something went wrong with a procedure, tragic for the keeper, her family, friends and the Hamilton zoo staff. With loving thoughts Ann Larsen

They have a wild animal locked in a cage when he should be enjoying his real life. What do the expect from a wild animal? He is still a tiger in no matter what environment and still has his tiger instincts. He did something a tiger would naturally do. Why should he pay with his life? He's already given up his life having to live behind bars!!!

Tigers are wild animals. You can't expect them to act any different. This was an dreadful accident. So sorry that the person died.

I believe that Oz was behaving with his natural instinct, he obviously felt threatened in some way and this is no reason to blame an animal we are trying to save from extinction.

wildlife must be preserved - these are not domestic pets they are wild and unpredictable, we must respect that. My heart goes out the the family of the keeper

This tiger did not choose to be kept in captivity. His natural instincts led him to defend his territory. How could his death be justified? It would be wrong!

Although a tragic event and the keeper died, it is not the fault of the tiger, it is a wild animal and should be allowed to live, it was only hunting. Condoloences to the family and zoo staff.

Save the tiger, but heartfelt thoughts are with the Zoo Keepers family, friends and staff at the Zoo.

because we as human beings need to learn and understand that it is only a Tigers Instincts, we should more learn from this. We ain't dentists that hunt and kill these beautiful animals, we are merely observers to an animal that is kept in an unnatural habitat.

It's tragic for the family of the victim and I wish them all strenght to deal with their loss, but this beautiful animal cannot be killed for following his instinct. Caged or not, it will always be a wild animal. Please do not kill him!

Oz is just a tiger, he does not even know what he did wrong. killing him does not do anything better, either does not have any warning to other animals, don't make human like we retaliate anyone even a tiger.we should not be angry with an animal.I believe Ms. Kudeweh does not want Oz killed either, because she loves animals.

Terrible what happened to trainer, but wild animals are exactly that. The risk is there in all zoos/animal habitats.

He's a wild animal and just following his instincts. You cannot punish him for being what he is and while tragic the keeper knew the risks and I'm sure she would not have wanted him euthanised for what was more than likely her error.

Because if we humans choose to put these beautiful, majestic, wild creatures in Animal Prison then we are solely responsible for what happens. It's never, ever, the animal's fault.

Not his fault and if safety protocols are followed there should be no chance of doing it again!

It is unfair that a tiger shall be put down for this incident. It is animals nature. The tiger is not aware of morals, rights and wrongs.

Killing the tiger wouldn't change the fact that the zookeeper has died. Pointless and cruel.

Condolences to the Zoo keepers family, but please don't put OZ to sleep over him defending his territory or mate. That would also be just as devastating.

Because I am in awe of these beautiful creatures and Oz does not deserve to be put down. I feel very sorry for the keeper and her family.

It is inhumane to kill a naturally predatory animal for being a predator. The animal shouldn't have been put in a zoo in the first place.

Because I don't think we should destroy an animal for doing what is natural for it to do! We keep these beautiful animals in captivity and expect they'll behave like a domestic pet - it is a wild animal.
