York is an historic town with historic buildings, having another mosque built in york, built in the traditional way is just making our historic towns into islamic towns they just want to have our country looking like theres and why should they, if they like there buildings that much then go back to your own country and build one there.

i think its totally wrong to put another mosque in york,i come from bradford where everywhere you look u can see mosques,they have taken over the skyline,im sick of seeing them,so what if i dont live in york,but im a regular visitor to the city and love to come walk round the but when i leave bradford i dont be wanteng to see more bloody mosques,people of york be warned once you let them build one you are certain they will be more to follow then york will never be your home just like bradford,did we see mosques when the vikings were here?......no

I do not think a mosque should be built in york because of the historic of this city. It is one of the only places left that is centered on great british traditions and still is focused a lot on our heritge in britain. A mosque would spoil the city's image and its whole tradition. Many british cities have mosques now, so why not move near an already built mosque or worship in your own homes. And if the religion means that much why not go to a country where the religion originated from!!

what happens when this new mosque is not big enough they will want to build a bigger one and so on and so on.if we give in now they will have a mosque bigger than our cathedral. if their current mosque is not big enough why dont they queue up and take it in turns to bob up and down on a rug.so please vote for no york mosque and if muslims are so offended by this MOVE!!!!!!!!!

The building of mosques do not fit in with the look of surounding british buildings and therefore should not be permitted in the UK, and all exiting mosques should be demolished. They are a discrace to the nation and to the UK tourism industry.

this is discusting!!!! york is a beautiful BRITISH city,its one of the oldest cities in britain if not the world.york is a main part of british history.to have a mosque there would kill yorks heritage...no way,stop this.mosques have taken over most of our cities and towns,now are most precious cities are getting taken over.this needs stopping
